On December 12th, step into the fourth chapter of the Black Belt Immersion Seminar Series as we dive deep into the world of EDT — Edge Weapon Defensive Tactics — and the devastating art of Mano Y Daga.
This seminar is dedicated to the blade in all its forms.
Students will work through the EDT program from the ground up, developing the awareness, movement, positioning, and tactical understanding needed for real edged-weapon encounters. From there, the training shifts into the dynamic flow of Mano Y Daga — blade versus blade — where timing, precision, and pressure create a completely different level of combat understanding.
The session will also include weapon Forms 1 and 2, performed with stick and/or sword, helping students connect the principles of structure, movement, and application directly into the art.
This is not choreography.

This is learning to function when the pressure becomes real.
Led directly by Datu Tim Hartman, Tribal Chief of Modern Arnis and the World Modern Arnis Alliance, this immersive training experience is designed to prepare serious practitioners for the 70th Anniversary Camp in the spring of 2027 — a historic milestone in the art of Modern Arnis.
The seminar will be held December 12th, 2026, from Noon to 3:00 PM at Horizon Martial Arts, headquarters of the World Modern Arnis Alliance, located at 280 Center Road in the Wimbledon Plaza, West Seneca, New York.
As always, there will be a virtual attendance option available for those unable to train in person. And whether you attend live or online, every registered participant will receive a digital copy of the seminar to continue studying long after the training ends.
