Join us May 16th-18th, 2025, in West Seneca, NY (a cozy suburb of Buffalo), for the World Modern Arnis Alliance’s 25th Anniversary Spring Camp! This isn’t just any event—it’s a celebration of how far we’ve come.
Back in 2000, when Professor Remy Presas, the founder of Modern Arnis, announced his retirement due to his health, Tim Hartman knew something had to be done. The professor wanted Modern Arnis to continue as a standalone system, and despite the naysayers, Hartman took up the challenge to create the World Modern Arnis Alliance. People doubted it could be done, but here we are—25 years later, the Alliance has grown into the world’s largest non-government sponsored organization dedicated to spreading the art of Modern Arnis. This is more than just a camp—it’s a milestone!
And that’s not all—we’re also celebrating a special personal occasion: Tim Hartman’s 60th birthday! Joining him will be his close friend, PG Tye Botting, who also turns 60 just weeks apart. So why not have a double celebration? It’s going to be a party like no other!
At the camp, you’ll have the chance to train with an amazing lineup of instructors, including PGs Dulin and Mason, Guros Mike and May Williams, and the world-renowned Grandmaster Bobby Taboada, a legend in Balintawak. And that’s just the beginning—who knows what other martial arts legends will be joining us to celebrate both the organization’s anniversary and these two incredible instructors’ six decades of life!
The event will take place at Horizon Martial Arts, the headquarters of the World Modern Arnis Alliance, right here in West Seneca. Alongside the celebration and the training, we’ll also be holding a grading—whether you’re just starting out or aiming for higher degrees of black belt, there’s something for everyone.
