World Modern Arnis
Instructor Development Camp
Become the Instructor Your Students Deserve
Knowing Modern Arnis and teaching Modern Arnis are two very different skills.
Many martial artists spend years mastering techniques, yet struggle when it comes to organizing classes, developing students, building curriculum, and creating a successful learning environment.
The World Modern Arnis Instructor Development Camp was created to bridge that gap.
Whether you’re already teaching, assisting in classes, preparing for instructor certification, or simply looking to become a more effective leader on the training floor, this intensive three-day experience will provide the tools, strategies, and insights needed to take your instruction to the next level.

More Than a Seminar
THIS IS ABOUT BECOMING A BETTER TEACHER.
This is not another technique camp.
The Instructor Development Camp focuses on the art and science of teaching.
You’ll spend time both on the training floor and in the classroom learning the systems, methods, and leadership principles that help instructors create successful programs and lasting student relationships.
Topics include:
- Building effective lesson plans
- Understanding linear and rotational curriculum systems
- Modular class design
- Student retention strategies
- Teaching beginners versus advanced students
- Running productive private lessons
- Instructor leadership and communication skills
- School growth and development
- Equipment sourcing and management
- Using social media to grow your influence and attract students
- Creating a long-term vision for your program
Every session is designed to provide practical knowledge you can immediately apply within your own school, club, or training group.
Learn From Real-World Experience
Hosted by Datu Tim Hartman and the World Modern Arnis Alliance leadership team, this camp draws upon decades of experience developing instructors, growing martial arts programs, and preserving the legacy of Grandmaster Remy Presas.
The goal is simple:
To create stronger instructors who can build stronger students and stronger communities.
Because the future of Modern Arnis depends on the quality of the instructors who carry it forward.
Train. Learn. Network.
One of the most valuable aspects of the Instructor Development Camp is the opportunity to connect with fellow instructors and future leaders from across North America and beyond.
You’ll exchange ideas, share challenges, build friendships, and learn from individuals who are facing many of the same opportunities and obstacles within their own schools and organizations.
These conversations often become just as valuable as the formal instruction itself.
